The Educational Studies Program invites you to attend an important lecture by the Superintendent of Hartford Public Schools next Tuesday during the Common Hour. We have invited HPS Superintendent Steven Adamowski to speak as our first guest in a lecture series on Educational Reform in Hartford. The goal of this short series is to engage the campus community in a conversation about the challenges Hartford faces in educating young people. We will do this by inviting to campus diverse representatives from community and educational organizations, teachers, parents, and district administration to talk with us about how they are addressing these challenges. Dr. Steven Adamowski is sure to be an engaging and provocative speaker. As a reform-minded district leader with an ambitious, focused, and far-reaching agenda, Dr. Adamowski has a great deal to share with us about his office`s efforts to improve public education in our city. He also happens to be an alumnus of Trinity College. We truly hope that you will attend this exciting lecture! Dr. Steven Adamowski, Superintendent, Hartford Public Schools "Urban School Reform Strategy" Tuesday, November 10, 12:15 PM Terrace Room B Coffee and dessert will be served. Subsequent events in this lecture series will be held during the spring semester. Many thanks to the Community Learning Initiative for co-sponsoring this event! |
