Kristallnacht, the Night of the Broken Glass, took place on November 9, 1938. During this night, hundreds of Jewish businesses, synagogues and lives were shattered. This was the official beginning of the persecution of the Jewish people in Germany. An original play with music about Kristallnacht is being produced by Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford. Trinity Professor Samuel Kassow will be leading a discussion following the performance. Transportation will be arranged and the student ticket cost will be covered by Hillel.
