Fadia Hasan's doctoral research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst on international communication, global youth activism, new media technologies and social change led her to found The BGreen Project, an international nonprofit that was built to connect and mobilize global youth to collaborate in building new discourses on environmental action and sustainable social change. Currently, Hasan is working as the sole author on an internationally contracted book project titled "Participatory Action Research and the Environment: The BGreen Project in the U.S. and Bangladesh" which is an adaptation of her doctoral dissertation project.

Trinity College's commitment to academia and civic engagement draws Fadia to be part of this dynamic academic legacy that is working actively in a cosmopolitan setting to include and engage the voices of diverse communities with education to bring about sustained social change. Her goals as a teacher and researcher are aligned with a holistic approach that aims to connect seemingly disparate dots (people and communities) in an interdisciplinary and unique academic universe to produce a bigger, richer and more inclusive outcome.
