Degrees:
Ph.D., Univ. of Texas at Arlington (2015)
B.S., Oklahoma Baptist Univ. (2007)

Allie received her B.S. in Mathematics Education from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2007. From there, she taught high school mathematics for three years in the Oklahoma City area before returning to graduate school at the University of Texas at Arlington. Allie received her PhD from UT-Arlington in May 2015 where her research area lied in the interaction between differential geometry and graph theory.

Allie has taught a variety of courses at Trinity and during graduate school, and believes that critical thinking and problem solving skills are learned alongside mathematical concepts. In order to help students learn and practice these skills as well as the math content, she incorporates lecture, group work, and student presentation of material into her classroom.

In 2017, Allie was selected as a Center for Teaching and Learning Fellow at Trinity, with a project aimed at flipping the classroom in Calculus 1.
