Thomas Regan-Lefebvre is a political scientist with a focus on the European Union (EU). He holds a Ph.D. from Queen’s University Belfast where he has also taught. He has worked both in political public relations, on projects for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and as a political advisor in the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy in Paris. His Ph.D. thesis looked at the EU treaty reform process of small EU Member States in the realm of the Common Foreign and Security Policy. His current research explores transatlantic implications of the evolution of EU Member States' defense budgets. His teaching methods include using role plays and interactive activities to stimulate and improve students' understanding of international politics.
