Jennifer Miller completed her B.S. in Mathematics at Bucknell University in 2004. In 2007, she received her M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She completed her Ph.D. in 2012 at the University of Delaware. Her dissertation introduced and analyzed new mathematical models for swarming with application to robotics.
Jen believes that everyone needs math to solve problems and interpret the solutions in context. Her goals for teaching any students of mathematics center on mathematical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical communication. She is particularly interested in incorporating mathematical modeling into her courses.
