Robert H. Davis is a professor in the Hartt School Theatre Division at the University of Hartford. He has appeared at Hartford Stage Company in Our Town (replacement for Hal Holbrook), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, numerous readings in the Brand: New Festival and, for the past six years, as Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. At TheaterWorks of Hartford he appeared in The Exonerated for which he received a Connecticut Critics Circle Award. Other regional credits include Shakespeare & Company, Tulane Shakespeare Festival and Swine Palace Productions at Louisiana State University. He has served as voice and dialect coach for the Hartford Stage Company production of To Kill a Mockingbird and at the Yale Repertory Theatre and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. He also teaches at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center's National Theatre Institute. He has been a senior faculty member for institutes on teaching Shakespeare funded by National Endowment for the Humanities.
Bob is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher, and a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. |
