The foundation of his teaching philosophy is respect for the student. He and his students enter into an agreement of mutual responsibility: they are to apply themselves diligently to the learning tasks at hand and he strives to deliver the best instruction of which he capable. The degree to which he is successful depends not only upon the students’ successful assimilation of facts, but also whether the learning experience that they share has a positive influence on the way they think, act, and feel about the world. |
