Jacqueline Metheny received her MFA from Hunter College in New York City in 1991, and a BFA from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1981.  Her work has been exhibited extensively in the United States and abroad since 1982, most recently in a solo show at 709 Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and group exhibitions at 511 Gallery, New York City and the Edith Wharton Estate in Lenox, Massachusetts.  Metheny’s art has been reviewed in a number of publications, including Art New England; the New York Times; the Newark Star Ledger; and SPAN magazine, New Delhi.  She has taught 3-D design, drawing, and sculpture at the University of Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University, the University of New Haven, and Trinity College.
