While studying neurobiology and behavior at Cornell University, Christopher Lee gained interest in auditory perception. He began research in the auditory system at the University of Connecticut, using several electrophysiological approaches to examine the function of neurons and synapses in the auditory cortex. Following his doctoral research, he conducted a toxicological study of polychlorinated biphenyls in the auditory cortex at the University of Illinois, and a study of plasticity mechanisms in the auditory midbrain at UConn Health. With firsthand experience in experimental studies in neuroscience, Professor Lee hopes to train his students’ skills in evidence-based reasoning.
