Kyle started writing and producing music utilizing synthesizers, samplers and computers at the young age of 14.  This passion for music technology led to a lifelong pursuit that has shaped his work.  He attended the University of California San Diego to study music technology with the likes of Miller Puckette, and soon after found a love for sharing this knowledge through teaching others.  Kyle then went on to earn a master’s degree in Recording Arts & Audio Pedagogy from the University of Colorado Denver, and now serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor, thus continuing a lifelong mission of helping others remove the technological barriers to their creativity.  Kyle’s teaching philosophy can be summarized as a blend of traditional teaching strategies, and guided student experiences that empower students with the tools necessary for practice, application of knowledge, and further independent exploration.
