Sean Tanguay is an avid audio engineer working in the greater Hartford and New Haven areas. He studied Music Production and Technology as well as classical Saxophone Performance at the Hartt School of Music, Dance and Theatre. He has worked as the recording engineer for the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, where he worked with high school students, Boston University faculty, and members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. There he also worked with Grammy winning recording engineers. Sean now works at the Yale School of Music as a recording engineer working with students and faculty on recital recordings, audition tapes, and recording sessions. Sean spent this past summer working at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival where he recorded artists such as the Miro Quartet, Brentano Quartet, Emerson Quartet, and Chris Brubeck’s Triple Play. Sean will expand his students’ knowledge of the recording industry through hands on experience and technical explanations of the art of audio engineering.
