Ryan Pellico began studying mathematics as an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University in 2005 and received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 2015. Under the direction of Professor P. Joseph McKenna, he studied numerical methods for differential equations with an application to nonlinear models of suspension bridges.
A native of Connecticut, Ryan is very excited to continue his academic career at Trinity College. While at the University of Connecticut, he had the opportunity to teach a wide range of courses from problem solving to multivariable calculus and linear algebra. Regardless of the course, Ryan believes that his love of mathematics can be made infectious through interesting examples and lively discussion.
