Mike Higgins joins Trinity as Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Recently, Higgins completed his second season as Head Coach at Thayer Academy where the he posted a winning record and the team earned the Parker Memorial Trophy. Prior to Thayer, he served four years as the Defensive Coordinator for the Tufts University Men’s Lacrosse team. Higgins captained the 1993 National Champion Hobart Lacrosse team and earned All-American honors. Outside of lacrosse, Higgins held the position of Director of Operations at CATZ, LLC. CATZ is a national Sports Performance Center; where elite athletes and teams train to meet the demands of their sport.
Higgins has over thirteen years of leading lacrosse teams, at both the collegiate and high school level. Higgins has established himself as a coach who is an effective communicator, teacher, and leader. He has worked and played on teams that have won league and national championships, as well as teams that are developing winning traditions. Higgins believes that success of the team always comes down to the collective character of the individuals and their willingness to work for the greater picture. |
